A brief history of A.M.C.O.
27th October 1986 Association of Maybank Officers (AMO) was formed to represent all Maybank’s officers in the ranks of :-

(a) Sub Accountant II
 (b) Chief Cashier A & B
29th October 1986

Recognition accorded to AMO by the Bank

10th November 1986

 Trade dispute between Maybank and AMO on reclassification of the Officers to new designations i.e. Senior Officers, Officer I and Officer II.

The trade dispute was referred by AMO to Kementerian Buroh for reconciliation and settlement.

17th December 1988

A Protem Executive Council was established and had applied to the Director General of Trade Union (DGTU) to form AMCO
